Action comedy is my favorite film genre. Bad Boys franchise has the potential to be one of my favorites in the same category like Rush Hour and Beverly Hills Cop. Unfortunately I did not grow up watching Bad Boys film. The only thing I can remember was watching Bad Boys For Life, which I enjoyed very well. Upon editing Bad Boys 4 dream trailer I knew I needed to watch the first movie. I thought I already watched it but I was wrong. After watching the franchise is starting to grow on me.
One element in Bad Boys franchise is the Porsche, so I made sure to make Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have a car chase scene. Thanks to RED 2 this was possible. Similarly with Bad Boys For Life trailer, I started the trailer showing Mike and Martin driving. With the help of COMPLEX clip we get a similar scene of Martin and Mike coming out of the car. Paying homage to the first Bad Boys film how started the same way, with them driving. One upgrade compare to the first Bad Boys trailer I made was the color correction, which is the warm filter that we see in Bad Boys films.
I did some A.I background removal effect with Will Smith, to give him a fresh scene like he is standing outside Miami streets. With the blessing of having deleted scenes from Bad Boys 3 its possible to get some scenes of Mike flirting with a girl. You would be surprise knowing that I did not using any a.i for Will Smith lines. The title sequence I made and the idea using 4 life I came up with. Its no surprised I had a lot of fun editing Bad Boys 4 Life dream trailer, it shows that the franchise has now become one of my favorites.
