The MCU has an opportunity to deliver a meaningful connection between stories of Loki season 2 and The Marvels. There may not be an obvious link between the two, but the possibility of one setting up the other shouldn't be ruled out. Details regarding both Phase 5 projects indicate that the two could be related. In fact, it's entirely plausible for The Marvels to share one or more of Loki season 2's characters.
Everything that happened in Loki season 1 proved that it's not a standalone story. The lore established in the series, the new characters introduced in the show, and its various twists and turns are of great relevance to the stories Marvel has planned for the years ahead. The depth of its implications were made clear when it brought in Jonathan Majors' He Who Remains and laid the groundwork for the actor's Kang the Conqueror role. In a way, Loki season 1 serves as foundation for both Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Marvel's decision to let Loki take such a heavy hand in setting up the Multiverse Saga's overarching story raises the possibility of it doing something similar with other movies, like The Marvels.
